Seeing Humor in Life

Guy and I have been on the road for over a month keeping our friends informed through this blog. Some of you may be thinking it sounds like a boring trip, that we are not doing anything fun, like white water rafting, horseback riding that sort of stuff. Let me remind you of a few things that you may not realize:  1.  bear (black and grizzly) warning signs are posted all over. These signs tell you what to do in case you have an up close and personal encounter with a bear. Surprising a bear is not as easy as say catching on fire. In a situation like that you stop, drop and roll. Meeting a bear requires a little more.  First, you must decide what type of bear it is, your response is different for each. Then you must determine what mood the bear is in, aggressive, protective, startled. You must also fight your basic instinct to turn and run.  now, we never ran in to a bear while hiking but when you are hiking, you have to consider the possibility that you might.  It can b e very nerve wracking.
                           2.  Guy's driving.  Guy's coworkers know what I am talking about. Heck, they gave me a sleeping mask so I don't have to see what is happening.  So far I have not worn it, but I keep it close at hand.  Not only are there mountains going up but going down with curves both ways.  My brake is about worn out, Guy's is still in good shape.  Besides the steep grades and the bends, there is wildlife, and if that is not enough, there is open range. That I manage to doze off during any of this is a wonder.
                            3.  my constant fear of Guy leaving me stranded.  This is based on comments he made about returning alone.  I know you're thinking it was just a comment he made, nothing to it, maybe so, but he has tried to leave me three times so far.  I have witnesses.

So you see, we do not need any artificial stimulation in our life.  There is enough already.  After all, a heart can only take so much.
