WILDLIFE

the prairie dogs in the Badlands

they were so much fun to watch

we saw a surprising number of bears and cubs
pronghorns were numerous in the Badlands

bison and prairie dogs were often seen together in the Badlands

we watched these sheep scrambling around the mountain tops for a long time.

Strike a pose

pretty tame compared to the other animals we have seen

bison in the rain

first bull elk we saw, he was huge

we saw many female elk

we saw more elk than deer

we saw these soon after entering Yellowstone

the bear went over the.......log

the wild burros seemed quite tame

baby bison in the herd

a fox after his supper

the bison crossing the river, very cool to see

after leaving the river, they went up the hill, across the street and into the field

the lone wolf

we got as many photos as we could

our first shot of an otter took the picture to have it
we saw 3 black bears, 3 grizzlies, and cubs

usually, we only saw individual elk, but occasionally, we would see herds

now here is a picture of an otter, posing for us

the mountain goats seen on beartooth highway

yep we even saw chipmunk

another group of big horn sheep

the other day, I meet a bear

moose, we were really happy to finally see a moose, the only thing that could be better

is a male
We tried to take photos of all the wildlife we saw. We were unable to get their pictures. One was a marmot the other was a snow shoe rabbit.
