Kansas She Says is the Name of the Star

We changed our plans a bit for Kansas so that we could make it to the Orioles post season game. We only spent one night in Goodland and in Salina then on to Kansas City, Missouri.  We visited with our friends, Beth and Steve, looked at some of the fountains in town and ate some barbecue. Right across the RV Park was a nice trail around a lake to walk Ripley.

in Goodland, this replica of Van Gogh's "Three Sunflowers in a Vase"
sits on an 80 foot easel

I like this sculpture, see the three baby coyotes singing with mom

the Salina KOA was all set for Halloween, very cool

after all we are in Kansas
Ripley was a little scared of the skeleton, when he jumped up, the glider moved
Which scared him even more

the original, Beth and Steve's favorite

I grew up with Beth till 7th grade, then they moved to Maryland, where she went to school with Guy
Steve was Guy's best friend. When I moved to MD, Beth introduced me to Guy...
