California Coast - Santa Barbara

The Pacific Ocean and California Coast are beautiful. The water is a bluer color than I am used to seeing.  There are so many fun towns along California's coast. Santa Barbara is one of them. The beach area is just brimming with things to do, places to eat and shops. The architecture is more Spanish and blends with the mountains. While there we went to Ventura to catch the boat to the Channel Islands. We didn't get off the ship but the National Park extends to the water so we were in the park.
anyone watch "Psyche"?

on our way to the Channel Islands we saw 3 types of dolphins

the Ventura Marina

our ride for the day, we sat on top
they were unbelievably amazing, so many if I had the wide angle lenses
the dolphins would continue on both sides

they were so fun to watch

they came close to the boat and played in the wake

Guy enjoyed the trip
we went to Anacapa Island the smallest

it had the lighthouse and the arch

plus sea lions

it was a pretty wonderful sight
a gorgeous day to be on the water

how cool is this shot?

we dropped a few people off and headed back to the mainland

more dolphins found us on the way back

they really made the trip
they were fascinating to watch

coming back into Ventura, look at that wave

pelicans frequent the area
