More in Arizona

We drove past Phoenix and Tucson to our next stop, Benson. The first day there while walking Ripley, I saw a tarantula.  After that, I spent my time looking for them to avoid it, Guy looked for one to take a picture. Fortunately, I never saw another, but red ants were every where. We went twice to Tombstone. The first day, we got rained out; but not before the lightening bolt cracked through town about 45 yards behind us. The electric went out in half the town, it started sprinkling, everyone was talking about monsoons and the sky was looking ominous. So we headed back to the campground. Our final turn was right before a flooded area. We stayed dry inside but the Phoenix and Tucson area had major flooding. The next day the sun was out so we tried Tombstone again.
Going north again, we saw some of the flooded areas of Phoenix and Tucson. Black Canyon City where we stayed was pretty dry. We did some sightseeing, shopping and watched the Raven/Steelers game.
