Grand Canyon

Guy and I took the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon. Before the train left there was a gunfight which was funny.  We rode coach to and first class back. On the way back, the trained was robbed by armed bandits, they only got a few bucks from us. Guy and I have been to the north rim of the canyon, but we were not prepared for the south rim. It was amazing.
The photographer took a picture of us but this came out better

the gateway to the Grand Canyon is about 60 miles away

the historic railroad car

our first glance of the Grand Canyon

truly an amazing site

pictures cannot do it justice
the Colorado river was at the base of the canyon still carving away

the river was muddy from the recent rains

this is possibly a condor, there is a nest in this area

we had a beautiful day to be there

the trail is Bright Angel trail, the trail used by the canyon mules

taking in the beauty of the canyon

this was taken from the south rim by the shops

the canyon's color s were ever-changing

with the blue sky and white puffy clouds, we saw it at it's best
notice the flag flying on the right

we headed back after spending the afternoon at the Grand Canyon

on the way back, the train was stopped and boarded by bandits
the glory of the Grand Canyon
